The album Dad Dancing was recorded in the period from April 2020 to April 2022 – the time of Covid. In-between lockdowns, McShane and Shaw met to rehearse and record whenever possible – either in our homes or at Ian Rafferty’s Creative Music studio – and, in one memorable case, within the lovely acoustics of St. Saviour’s Church, Thurlstone.
The result of this work is an album where each track is an isolated gem which has been created independently of everything else, making the whole thing an audio variety show, evocative of McShane & Shaw’s eclectic live performances.
We hope you enjoy your listening experience.
