to entertain you with a wide variety of music.
The Jolly Ukes of Cawood North Yorkshire meet at the Jolly Sailor Inn Cawood every Thursday for a singalong. Originally founded post-lockdown by two local characters Ron and Judith Maunder, the Jolly Ukes keep up their tradition of being an inclusive group, welcoming all levels of Ukulele players from absolute beginners to those more accomplished. The Jolly Ukes now perform at many local charity events, fetes and Jolly Sailor Inn theme nights – regularly expanding their repertoire to include songs that might be less familiar as ukulele numbers, as well as keeping up the more traditional sea shanties, rock, pop and country classics.
Hornsea Ukulele Group have been playing together for around 10 years. Folks have come and gone but there are still founding members in the group. We play a wide range of music: traditional, folk, country, chart hits… anything from Green Day to Green Green Grass of Home, or from Bob Marley to Bob Dylan – we will give it a go! Over the years we have raised many thousands of pounds for local charities by playing at fairs, fêtes, festivals and in residential homes. Our main aim is to enjoy playing together and sharing joy and musical ‘HUGS’ with others.
From quite possibly the second-best uke duo from north Sheffield, Pitsmoor Ladies Ukulele Chorale invite you into their world of sweet harmonies and tall stories.
