Did you get a new Ukulele for Christmas? Perhaps you have one sitting in a cupboard. Maybe you have learnt a few chords but need help in learning to play better. If you want to learn to play the Ukulele or improve your playing help is at hand. There are two new courses which are held at The Venue in Stocksbridge on Wednesdays. The beginners’ class is 10-12 noon and the improvers’ classs is 1-3 pm.
Learning to play the Ukulele is fun and once you have learnt the basics you can join one of the many Ukulele groups around the area. One learner who completed the beginners’ course in December said “I can now play several chords and can have a go at playing lots of songs. As well as learning to play the Uke we also learnt about aspects of music. I now have much more confidence and have joined two Ukulele groups which are great fun and provide me with plenty of opportunities to practise playing. I will now join the improvers’ group”
